Who Palanca is

Palanca is an AI consulting practice operated by Joseph Chappell, based in Valencia, Spain. When this policy says "Palanca," it means the data controller responsible for your personal data.

What data Palanca collects

Palanca collects personal data only through the booking form on the /booking page:

• •Name and email address — provided by you when booking a call. Used to schedule the meeting and send a confirmation with a Google Meet link.
• •Time zone — detected automatically from your browser to show available slots in your local time.

Palanca does not collect analytics data, does not use tracking cookies, and does not run advertising scripts. The site loads Google Fonts for the typeface and icon set; Google may log the font request per their own privacy policy.

How your data is used

Your name and email are sent to Cal.com to create the booking. Cal.com generates a Google Meet link and sends you a confirmation email. Palanca does not store your name or email in any database beyond what Cal.com retains as part of the booking.

The legal basis for processing is contract performance (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) — you provide your data to book a call, and Palanca processes it to fulfill that booking.

Third-party processors

• •Cal.com — scheduling platform. Receives your name, email, and time zone to create the booking. Cal.com privacy policy.
• •Cloudflare Turnstile — spam protection on the booking form. Cloudflare processes browser signals to verify you are human. No personal data is shared by Palanca; Cloudflare collects its own telemetry per their privacy policy.
• •Google Cloud (Cloud Run) — hosts the website. Processes requests but does not store personal data beyond standard server logs (IP address, user agent) which are retained for up to 30 days.
• •Google Fonts — serves the Epilogue typeface and Material Symbols icons. Google may log font requests per their privacy policy.

Cookies

Palanca does not set any cookies. Third-party services loaded on the site (Cloudflare Turnstile, Google Fonts) may set their own cookies as described in their respective privacy policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

Data retention

Booking data (name, email, meeting details) is retained by Cal.com for as long as your booking record exists. You can request deletion at any time by emailing Palanca.

Changes to this policy

Palanca may update this policy as services change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on the site.
